September 11

Seven years ago I was about to head to Lunchbox recording studio in Brooklyn to work on my Passion, Poison, and Politik album. Unfortunate events that day prevented my getting there. This morning as I left my Manhattan residence, a crowd was gathered to remember and honor the 11 firefighters from Rescue #1 who perished that day at the World Trade Center site. Well, shortly “9/11” after I wrote and recorded a healing song, Angels Watch Over, that appears on Passion, Poison, & Politik. On this September 11 I made it to the recording studio that is within two blocks of Rescue 1. I worked on 3 songs, including a holiday song called Wintertime Sky. Award winning jazz composer, Drew Paralic, composed the melody and I wrote the verse. I expect to release the song as a single in time for Thanksgiving, Christmas and all the other holidays that happen towards year-end.
